Kidpower Child Protection Workshop for Adults • 10AM - 12PM
Description
OFC is excited to partner with Kidpower on this workshop for LGBTQ+ parents and caregivers on child protection and cybersafety. The workshop will prepare adults to assist their children in developing healthy relationships and making safe choices with people including strangers, siblings, peers, and other people they know, in the real world and online.
About the Instructor: Allison Kenny is a Certified Kidpower Instructor, leading workshops across the Bay Area since 2010. She and her wife include Kidpower safety skills in all of the Go Girls! empowerment camps they run, and practice at home with their 10-year-old daughter. In addition to teaching Kidpower, Allison is the Communications Manager for the GRAMMY-nominated Alphabet Rockers, and is also the Director of School-Based Programs for Seeds of Awareness. At the heart of all her work is a deep passion for the safety and wellness of young people and their caregivers.
A light breakfast of coffee, bagels, tea and fresh fruit will be provided.
