VIRTUAL: Triple P: Positive Parenting Program (ages 0-12 yrs) | 8-10PM
Description
This workshop meets virtually during the shelter-in-place and social distancing phase of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Please register in advance to receive phone and video conference access information.
The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program helps parents and caregivers of children from 0 to 12 years understand their child's social and emotional development, and approach behavioral challenges with structured, consistent, effective responses – enabling more time and energy for the joyful activities that build positive parent-child relationships.
Triple P strategies draw from social learning, cognitive behavioral and developmental theory, and extensive research into the sources of behavioral problems in children. Throughout the 12-week course, participants study the patterns of conflict in their families, learn to prepare in advance new ways to respond to flare-ups, and refine their ability to help their children develop emotional and behavioral self-regulation.
Here's what a local parent had to say about the impact of the class on her parenting.
Triple P-trained OFC Programs Coordinators Karlon Zee and Drew Lakhardt facilitate the class.
NOTE: Tuesday, January 19th is the last chance to register for the class; registration closes thereafter. We ask participants to get the most from the class by making a commitment to attend all 12 sessions.
