Authors Joshua Gamson (Modern Families) and Willy Wilkinson (Born on the Edge of Race and Gender) join up with other Oakland parents to consider the questions: How do we want to tell our unconventional family origin stories, and what do we want allies to know and say about our families? Event kicks off with the East Bay premiere of the Our Family Coalition and Not In Our Schools-produced documentary "Our Families," celebrating diverse Oakland and Berkeley families.
