Ages & Stages: Child Development of 6-12 Year-Olds • 6-8pm
Description
Curious about developmental milestones for school-age kids? Join us for a workshop on the emotional, physical, and social development of 6-12 year-olds to be facilitated by psychologist Dr. Stacy N. Knight. This workshop is ideal for LGBTQ parents and caregivers who want to learn more about what to expect during this age range of child development and to connect with other LGBTQ families. Dr. Knight is an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant at the Homeless Children’s Network. She has extensive training in different areas of development as well as research work in identity development and developmental delays of childhood, so please come ready with any questions or concerns you have about your own child's behavior and development. Supporting underrepresented communities has guided Dr. Knight's understanding of specific challenges marginalized communities face, which is integral to her approach to her work.
