SF Queer Family Hike • 9:45-11am
Description
Organized and led monthly by Lil and her adorable son, Quincy. Explore different hiking spots in SF each month with a fun group of LGBTQ families!
FOR THIS MONTH'S HIKE:
Does all this nice weather have you craving some beach time? Join us for a hike at Crissy Field! You can park in the lot near the Crissy Field Center on the east side of Crissy Field. We'll meet at the picnic tables outside of "Crissy Beach Changing Rooms" (Google Maps recognizes that phrase), walk down the trail a bit, cut onto the beach at about Sports Basement, walk along the beach, turn around when kids get tired, and find a nice open spot for a picnic. If we're feeling ambitious and there are budding oceanographers in the bunch, we may try to make it to the Greater Farallones Visitor Center. Strollers are welcome for the trail portion, but probably won't do too well for the beach part--you can either stick to the trail or stash your stroller at the edge of the beach/trail to catch a little beach time. And if your kid is anything like mine, bring an extra change of clothes!
Meeting spot: picnic tables outside of the Crissy Beach Changing Rooms at East Beach (map)
Schedule:
Sunday, May 27
9:45am - Meet and Play (cutting this portion short a bit, because we're not starting at a playground)
10:00am - Hike
11:00am - Play and Picnic
Hope to see you out there,
Lil and Quincy
