Trans Family Fall Harvest • 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Description
Come explore the changing seasons with OFC at the Trans Family Fall Harvest. Transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary parents and kids, along with their families, will gather at the College Hill Learning Garden for a fun nature scavenger hunt that takes you on a tour of the garden. Get crafty at our TRANSformation Pumpkin Station, and enjoy festive Fall treats served alongside our "Gender Around the World" display. Learn about this sustainable garden in the city, including how to compost at home, and help make some worm food as a "compost chef." There's lots to do at this fun afternoon event for trans families!
This event is outdoors, so we encourage you to wear sun protection and dress in layers. Please note there is a bee hive at the garden, so folx with severe allergies should make sure to bring their Epi-Pens or other necessary medications.
Please let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions or accessibility needs at least 72 hours in advance so our staff can make arrangements. For further questions or information, contact SF Programs Coordinator, Jeannette Page at jeannette@ourfamily.org or 415-981-1960 X309.
We strive to make our programs accessible to all families. Please register for accommodations that would help your family participate to the fullest (e.g. language interpretation, translated materials, childcare providers experienced with kids with disabilities, large print materials, allergen-free food, etc.). If registering within 48 hours of the event, please call 415-981-1960 to ensure receipt of your request.
