VIRTUAL: Discuss Being Chinese and LGBTQ+ Amidst COVID-19 | 1:00-2:30pm PST
Description
This workshop is meeting virtually during shelter-in-place, as part of our Coronavirus response.
Please register in advance to receive phone and video conference access information.
Join staff member Karlon Zee and guest facilitator Audrey Lin Kadoya for an open discussion with parents regarding being Chinese and LGBTQ+ Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It is challenging enough for the Asian American community to come in community to combat xenophobia, racism AND anti-blackness. Let’s discuss how our identities are affecting us and our loved ones through these times of uncertainty.
GUEST FACILITATOR: Audrey Lin Kadoya (she/her) is a servant leader with a five-year demonstrated history of coordinating high-impact programs and initiatives encompassing diversity, equity, and inclusion. She recently earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management at Oregon State University and has since been recognized for piloting a series of social justice oriented projects and peer support groups, such as the College Media Association’s award-winning Making Waves Podcast and the Womxn of Colour Initiative (AYA).
